‘Boreal Beast’ is a vigorous, cold-hardy honeyberry cultivar forming a dense, upright to rounded shrub with sturdy branching. The foliage emerges early in spring, with soft green, oval leaves that give the plant a full appearance through the growing season. In early spring, pale yellow, tubular flowers appear and are highly frost tolerant. These are followed by large, elongated, deep blue berries with a waxy bloom, known for their rich, sweet-tart flavor and excellent firmness.
