Philodendron Lemon Lime features heart-shaped leaves with a striking combination of lemon yellow and lime green colors. The leaves may exhibit variegation, with different shades and patterns of green. The plant grows in a trailing or climbing habit, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or trained on a trellis.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Place it near a window with filtered sunlight. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Inadequate light can result in leggy growth and dull foliage.
  • Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Philodendron Lemon Lime is between 60°F (15°C) and 85°F (29°C). Protect it from cold drafts and extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Watering: Water the plant when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Philodendrons prefer slightly moist soil but are susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Ensure proper drainage and avoid waterlogging the plant.
  • Humidity: Philodendrons appreciate higher humidity levels. Mist the leaves occasionally or place the plant on a pebble tray filled with water to increase humidity. Alternatively, you can use a humidifier nearby.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but doesn't become waterlogged. A mix of peat moss, perlite, and potting soil is suitable for Philodendron Lemon Lime.
  • Fertilizer: Feed your Philodendron Lemon Lime with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) every two to four weeks. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the proper dosage.
  • Pruning: Prune any leggy or yellowing stems to maintain a compact and attractive shape. You can also trim long vines to encourage bushier growth. Use clean and sharp pruning shears to avoid damaging the plant.
