The Curly Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum ‘Bonnie’) is a compact, eye-catching variety of the classic spider plant, best known for its cascading, arching foliage that twists and curls into elegant spirals. The leaves are variegated, with a bright green margin surrounding a creamy-white center, giving the plant a fresh and lively appearance. Its growth habit is dense and fountain-like, often producing small white star-shaped flowers on arching stems, which are followed by baby plantlets, or “spiderettes,” that can root easily to form new plants. This variety is particularly suited to hanging baskets or elevated planters where its curly leaves and trailing offsets can be displayed to full effect.
