Pothos Cebu Blue Full, also known as Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue', is a stunning cultivar of the Pothos plant family. It is characterized by its unique blue-green foliage, which distinguishes it from other varieties of Pothos. The leaves are heart-shaped and glossy, with a distinctive silvery-blue hue on the upper surface. The stems are typically green, creating a striking contrast against the blue leaves. This plant is often grown as a trailing or climbing vine, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or training on a support structure.

  • Size: In optimal conditions, Pothos Cebu Blue Full can grow to impressive lengths. As a trailing vine, it can extend several feet in length, with individual leaves reaching sizes of around 2 to 4 inches in width and 4 to 6 inches in length. With proper care and maintenance, this plant can develop lush foliage and a dense growth habit.
  • Light: Pothos Cebu Blue Full thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the delicate foliage. However, the plant can tolerate lower light conditions, but growth may be slower, and the blue coloration may not be as vibrant.
  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom of the pot. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to strike a balance and not let the plant sit in soggy soil.
  • Temperature: This plant prefers temperatures between 60°F to 85°F (15°C to 29°C). Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 50°F (10°C), as cold drafts can damage the foliage.
  • Humidity: Pothos Cebu Blue Full appreciates higher humidity levels, but it can adapt to average indoor humidity. To increase humidity, you can mist the foliage regularly or place the plant on a pebble tray filled with water. Alternatively, consider using a humidifier, especially during the drier winter months.
  • Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix to ensure good drainage. A mix formulated for houseplants or tropical plants works well.
  • Fertilization: Feed the plant monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce fertilization frequency in fall and winter when growth slows down.
  • Pruning: Regular pruning helps maintain the plant's shape and promotes bushier growth. Trim back leggy stems and remove any yellowing or dead leaves to keep the plant healthy and attractive.
  • Propagation: Pothos Cebu Blue Full is easy to propagate through stem cuttings. Simply take a cutting with a few leaves attached and place it in water or moist potting mix until roots develop. Once roots have formed, transplant the cutting into its own pot.
