The Purple Flame is a rich and dramatic epiphytic forest cactus native to the coastal mountains of Brazil. Its flat, segmented stems bear the characteristic pointed, claw-like serrations of the Zygocactus family. At the tips of its gracefully arching stems, striking tubular flowers emerge in deep magenta-purple with violet undertones and a luminous sheen, creating a jewel-toned display that stands out beautifully against the plant's glossy dark green foliage. The asymmetrical blooms are held horizontally, giving the plant a lush, cascading elegance perfect for a hanging basket or statement windowsill.
