An interesting large shrub or small tree with a vigorously upright, weeping habit of growth and attractive yellow flowers in spring, great as a form accent in the garden or landscape; an incredibly tough, hardy and durable plant. The pea-like flowers hang below the branches in mid spring. It has green foliage throughout the season. The round pinnately compound leaves turn yellow in fall. The smooth olive green bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and should not require much pruning, except when necessary, such as to remove dieback. It has no significant negative characteristics.
