Chieftain seed potatoes are medium-sized, round to slightly oblong tubers with smooth, bright red skin and shallow eyes that make them easy to peel. Their flesh is white to creamy in color, firm in texture, and holds up well during cooking. The plants themselves grow vigorously, producing uniform tubers known for good storage quality and strong disease resistance, especially to scab.
