The Treasure Red Apple is an exceptionally hardy prairie apple tree developed for cold Canadian climates, making it very well suited for the Regina area. This ornamental and edible crabapple produces clusters of bright red apples with crisp, juicy flesh that can be eaten fresh or used for jelly, cider, and baking. In spring, the tree is covered with fragrant pink buds that open to soft white blossoms, followed by glossy green foliage through summer. The fruit persists well into fall, adding ornamental value and attracting birds and pollinators. Its compact size and strong cold tolerance make it an excellent choice for home orchards and urban yards on the prairies.
