Hosta ‘Blue Angel’ is one of the largest and most impressive blue hostas, valued for its massive, heart-shaped leaves and stately presence in the shade garden. The thick, heavily textured foliage emerges with a powdery blue-gray coating that gives the plant its distinctive cool color. As the season progresses, the leaves may soften to a blue-green tone, especially in brighter light. ‘Blue Angel’ forms a broad, cascading mound of foliage that adds structure and drama to shaded borders, woodland gardens, and large landscape beds. In midsummer, tall scapes rise above the foliage carrying soft lavender flowers that attract pollinators
