The North Wind® Maple is a cold-hardy hybrid maple known for its stunning year-round interest and resilience in colder climates. A cross between the Korean Maple (Acer pseudosieboldianum) and the Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum), it features deeply lobed, palmate leaves that resemble those of a Japanese Maple, but with improved hardiness. In spring, the foliage emerges with soft red tones that mature into rich green through summer. Come fall, the tree puts on a vibrant show of orange, red, and pink hues. Its upright, vase-shaped form makes it ideal for smaller landscapes or as a focal point. The bark is smooth and gray, adding winter interest even after the leaves drop.
