Honeycomb Ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Honeycomb’) is a compact, deciduous shrub valued for its bright golden-yellow foliage that holds its color well through the growing season without scorching. New growth emerges a vivid chartreuse, maturing to warm yellow-green, providing excellent contrast in mixed shrub borders. In late spring to early summer, small clusters of soft white to pale pink flowers appear, followed by subtle reddish seed capsules. The shrub’s naturally tidy, rounded habit and exfoliating bark add seasonal interest and texture, even after leaf drop.
