Peony ‘Bartzella’ (Paeonia Itoh ‘Bartzella’) is a highly prized Itoh (intersectional) peony, combining the best traits of herbaceous and tree peonies. It is known for its large, semi-double to fully double bright yellow blooms with a soft red flare at the centre. The flowers are lightly fragrant and produced in abundance in late spring to early summer. Strong, sturdy stems hold the blooms upright above attractive, deeply cut dark green foliage that remains tidy and ornamental throughout the season. ‘Bartzella’ is especially valued for its long bloom time, strong garden performance, and excellent cut flower quality.
