Snow-on-the-Mountain (Aegopodium podagraria ‘Variegatum’) is a vigorous, shade-tolerant groundcover grown primarily for its attractive variegated foliage. The compound leaves are bright green with creamy white margins, creating a striking carpet of color that brightens shaded areas of the landscape. In early summer, clusters of small white umbels appear above the foliage, adding a delicate floral display. This plant spreads readily by underground rhizomes and quickly forms dense colonies, making it useful for covering difficult shaded areas where few other plants thrive.
