Summer Glow Tamarisk is a deciduous, airy-textured shrub or small tree valued for its fine, feathery blue-green foliage and soft, rose-pink flower plumes that appear in mid to late summer. The plant has a graceful, upright to arching habit, creating a light, almost cloud-like effect in the landscape. Flowers are borne on current season’s growth and provide color at a time when many shrubs have finished blooming. Its exceptional tolerance to wind, drought, salinity, and alkaline soils makes it particularly well suited to exposed Prairie sites, urban conditions, and challenging soils common around Regina.
